Business Costs Assistance Program Round Four – Construction

The Victorian Government Grant provides one-off payments to eligible employing and non-employing businesses in the construction sector that operate in the following local government areas:

  • Metropolitan Melbourne
  • The City of Greater Geelong
  • Mitchell Shire
  • Surf Coast Shire

Businesses must have incurred direct costs because of the health restrictions in place between 21 September – 4 October. One off Grant Payments from $2,000 and up to $8400 will be made available to eligible businesses based on payroll size. The Grant opens on 5 November 2021.

Business Costs Assistance Program Round Five

This program provides payments to eligible small to medium businesses in sectors affected by the current restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, jointly funded by the Commonwealth and Victorian Governments.

Four tiers of automatic payments will be available to eligible Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two and the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two July Extension recipients based on the size of their annual payroll.

  • $1000 per week for non-employing businesses
  • $2800 per week for businesses with an annual payroll below $650,000
  • $5600 per week for businesses with an annual payroll between $650,000 and less than $3 million.
  • $8400 per week for businesses with an annual payroll between $3 and $10 million.

From 1 October to 29 October, businesses in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria that are subject to lockdown restrictions will receive fortnightly payments. Businesses in eligible ANZSIC classes located in areas not subject to stay at home restrictions will also receive fortnightly payments.

From 29 October to 13 November 2021, businesses in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria in eligible ANZSIC classes that remain closed or heavily restricted will receive a fortnightly payment.

These payments are in line with the indicative timing in Victoria’s Roadmap to Deliver the National Plan and thresholds for achieving 70%, then 80% vaccination rates.

Payments will be made automatically on a fortnightly basis. You do not need to apply for the payment.

Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund to Support Hospitality

More than 9000 licensed hospitality businesses that have previously received grants under the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund or July Extension programs will receive further automatic payments in October.

Weekly payment amounts are stepped according to premises capacity: $5000 for a capacity of up to 99 patrons or where patron capacity is not specified, $10,000 for a capacity of 100 to 499 patrons, and $20,000 for a capacity of 500 or more.

Between 70% and 80% double dose, payments for licensed premises in metropolitan Melbourne will be reduced by 25%, and in regional Victoria by 50% as the economy continue to progress to greater levels of freedom.

The Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund payments will total up to $407.5 million for the six-week period.

Impacted Public Events Support Program Round Two

The Impacted Public Events Support Program Round Two will deliver grants of $25,000 to organisers of Tier 1 and Tier 2 events under the Public Events Framework that are approved or registered to take place between 11:59pm on 24 June 2021 and 11:59pm on 23 September 2021.

Suppliers to Tier 1 and Tier 2 events may be eligible for a $10,000 grant under this program.

Businesses that received a grant through the initial Impacted Public Events Support Program may receive funding through the Impacted Public Events Support Program Round Two if they have another, unique event that was cancelled between 11:59pm 24 June 2021 to 11:59pm 23 September 2021. They may also receive funding if the original event was rescheduled and cancelled again in that period.
